Job Title: Vice President of Technology

About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional Vice President of Technology to oversee and lead our software engineering, DevOps/cloud operations, IT infrastructure, technical support, and associated functions. This position requires a dynamic leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities. The VP of Technology will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical strategy, ensuring the seamless execution of projects, and mentoring a team of 15 talented individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Form and nurture an executive technology team while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Oversee a diverse team encompassing development, IT infrastructure/support, DevOps, QA, BI/Data Analytics, and product management.
- Drive innovation and the strategic growth of our technology infrastructure, ensuring scalability for global operations (Australia, Mexico, and beyond).
- Technical Oversight:
- Provide hands-on expertise in architecture, design, and technical problem-solving.
- Stay actively involved in core technology areas, mentoring the team and maintaining technical excellence.
- Collaborate with team leads (e.g., BI, software development) and contribute to building robust global systems.
- Operational Management:
- Execute technology roadmaps and manage cross-functional technology projects.
- Partner with business units to ensure technology aligns with revenue-generating goals.
- Ensure continuity and efficiency within a hybrid work model, balancing onsite and remote team dynamics.
- Growth & Mentorship:
- Mentor and develop team members, cultivating a culture of integrity, ownership, and excellence.
- Plan for team expansion and identify talent needs in alignment with organizational growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven leadership experience in a technology-driven environment, managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong technical acumen with expertise in the following:
- .NET Core application development
- AWS infrastructure services
- MSSQL databases
- BI tooling
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Entra ID, Exchange Online, GitLab, core AWS services, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- Robust understanding of current and emerging technology trends.
- Track record of successfully implementing and managing large-scale technology projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across teams and levels.
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in a technology leadership role with hands-on involvement in system architecture and technical execution.
